Station 4
Situation: Social relationships
- Welcome to the party
- The party was cool, you rocked the house
- You have got to know some nice new friends. You meet them very often
- Your clique wants you to spend your time with them together
- Unfortunately your school grades suffer under the new situation
What is your decision?
- A: Do you continue? Are you going to go go-carting? (Boys)/ go shopping? (Girls)
- B: You cancel the meeting with your friends. Instead of driving go-kart or going shopping, you start to learn for school.
- Answer A: Enjoy your day and have fun. The group shoots each other with water balloons and water pistols. (In summer: a water fight)
Afterwards your group goes to station 6. - Answer B: The group has to work out a sum and after that they go to station 7
Station 5
Situation: Performance-orientated
Super, you have learned for school and got a B in your math test! The teacher has told you that you have the possibility of getting an A but you will have to knuckle down. Your performance in the English classes is good too. With a project you could get a B on your report. There is only one problem; you have to prepare this project at the weekend and your friends have asked you to go into Cologne.
What is your decision?
- A: Are you going to Cologne at the weekend?
- B: Do you prepare for your project at the weekend?
- Answer A: The group gets a lolly and goes to station 7
- Answer B: The group writes down six sentences in English. The subject is America.
Afterwards they go to Station 8.
Station 6
Situation: 100% purchase power
- You have a lot of fun with your fiends (you get new shoes)
- School annoys you. Good that you have graduated from school but it was tight.
- Now you can finally earn some cash. There are two offers:
What is your decision?
- A: You take a job and earn 900€ per month.
- B: You start a training scheme and you earn 400 € per month.
- Answer A: Go to station 9
- Answer B: Go to station 10 a
Station 7
Situation: 50% purchase power, 50% performance-orientated
For pupils from comprehensive school
- You are in class 10
- Your application was accepted in spite of your average performance at school.
- You have got an offer as a hairdresser, businessmen or advertising designer.
Which job do you choose?
- A: Hairdresser
- B: Businessmen
- C: Advertising designer
- Answer A: One person in your group gets a new hairstyle (use hair slides, hair bands)
- Answer B: Exchange a Snickers bar for something more valuable in the camp.
- Answer C: The group has to design a poster for a summer camp or an advertisement for the youth group. (The group gets material to do handicraft; paper, paint box)
(Two staff members look after the groups. It should not take longer than 8 minutes.)
After the challenge the teams go to station 10.
For pupils from grammar and independent schools
- Your grades are good enough to go to grammar school where you can take the final exam at the end. Your parents hope that you start a successful career.
- But you have applied for training courses and already have offers.
What is your decision?
- A: Do you begin the training?
- B: Do you go to grammar school?
- If your decision is A; which job do you take?
- A: Hairdresser
- B: Businessmen
- C: Advertising designer
- Answer A: One person in your group gets a new hairstyle (use hair slides, hair bands)
- Answer B: Exchange the Snickers bar for something more valuable in the camp.
- Answer C: The group has to design a poster for a summer camp or an advertisement for the youth group. (The group gets material to do handicraft; paper, paint box)

- If your decision is B: The group takes an intelligence test with a time limit.
Afterwards they go to station 11.
Station 8
Situation: 100% Performance-orientated
Your grades are excellent, super! Unfortunately you didn’t have much time for your girlfriend/ boyfriend. And so she/he finishes the relationship which lasted one year. (Minus points on the social relationship level)
What is your decision?
- A: You are frustrated and you isolate yourself from the others.
- B: It is your choice; you can try and stay friends.
- Answer A: Go for a walk through the woods and pick flowers (Depending upon your creativity, you get points on the social relationship level)
- Answer B: You have ten minutes to write your ex- girlfriend/ boyfriend a letter. In this letter you try maintain the friendship.
Carry on working towards the final exam at grammar school! You go to station 11.
Station 9
Situation: Working and casual jobs
Welcome to hard world of the work! Because you have no training, you have to do the unpopular jobs.
The group has to pull twenty nails out of some boards. Afterwards, they have to knock the nails straight so that they can be used again.
For the girls:
It is mindless work and you want to explore the world.
There are two possibilities:
- A: You can work in a children’s home in Brazil for one year.
- B: An au-pair year in Australia.
- Answer A: Go to station 12
- Answer B: Go to station 14
For the boys:
You have missed your second appointment for national service. Now the state wants an answer from you. Make a decision; go to the army or do community service.
What is your decision?
- A: Mandatory military service?
- B: Community service?
- Answer A: Go to station 15
- Answer B: Go to Station 13
Station 10a
Situation: The training is very hard. You have to get used to swotting up again.
Task:
- Solve the following tasks: You can manage it because you have practiced before.
Within 30 seconds you have to remember the following letters;

Station 10b
Situation: Your training is good, you want to stay and work in this field. You only have to pass your final exam so you should learn a bit more.

For the girls:
What happens after your training?

It was extremely close but you have done it. You are satisfied but your parents think you could have done better. But you have given your best and now you want to celebrate it. You drink cola and you want to celebrate your passed exam in the town.
For the boys:
You get an appointment for national service.

- B: Mandatory military service?
- Answer A: Go to station 13
- Answer B: Go to station 15
For the girls:
After the whole stress that was caused by your final exam you want to take a break.
What is your decision?
- A: You can work in a children’s home in Brazil for one year.
- B: An au-pair year in Australia.
- Answer A: Go to station 12
- Answer B: Go to station 14
Station 12
Situation: You work in a children’s home in Brazil for one year.
You know that the people are glad to see you and are thankful for your voluntary help. You can also gain practical experience.
Task:
- Tidy up the camp! (Help in the kitchen, clean things, get some wood) After your task (it takes 15 minutes) come back to station 12.
(They come back)
The kids are very thankful for your help. You notice that the year is already over. You were able to gain a number of valuable experiences that help you in your everyday life.
For pupils from independent school
Now you pose yourself the question: What should I do?
What is your decision?
- A: Do you want to begin studying to start a successful career? After your intensive preparation stage, it would be worthwhile.
- B: You just want to make money and you are not interested in hard learning. Do you start training?
- Answer A: Go to station 17
- Answer B: Go to station 16
For trainees and 10b people
By now you have gained a lot of experiences. You have matured a lot and face your next decision:
What’s your decision?
- A: You go to grammar school and afterwards you begin to study.
- B: You go back to your old job where you gained a lot of experiences and earned your own money.
- Answer A: Go to station 17
- Answer B: Go to station 16
For workers
This chapter in your life was varied. You have no training and no chance to get a job at the moment. You turn to the employment centre but the employees send you to the social security office. You are happy; you get a job. Your problem; you receive your salary at the end of the month. You need money up until then.
Task:
- Try to get 2 € within five minutes. It has to be a voluntary donation. Convince people that it is an emergency. After this challenge, go to station 18.
