Preparation:
In preparation soak the dried beans in water overnight. Drain on the next day and put them through a blender until smooth.
Now chop the green onions and herbs finely. Also, use the spring onions and a few of their stems. Then mix it all in the bowl with the beans. Add the spring onions, chopped garlic and herbs as well, then blend once again.
Now add the baking soda, spices and 3 tbsp. Salt to the mixture and mix well. Put aside and let rest for about an hour.
When this time is over, wet your hands and knead again. Then form “flat” balls in the size of 3 to 4 cm. Now put the sesame seeds and place them in a bowl and roll the Falafel in it. Take them out and fry them in heated oil or a deep fryer until they are golden brown.
Originally, Falafels are from Egypt, yet, most people from East Arabian countries love this food. However, they replaced the beans with chickpeas. Falafels are going very well with a piece of flatbread with onions, letters and a yummy yoghurt sauce.
