Preparation:
Peel the onions and cut into small cubes. Wash, peel and core the apples. Then cut into pieces. Wash the duck drumsticks and pat dry properly. If you spot any fat, make sure to remove it. Then season thoroughly with salt and Fondor. Cover the duck drumsticks with a cloth and leave to rest for 15 minutes. In a large enough pot slightly melt fat and fry the drumsticks on both sides. Turn the duck drumsticks after 3 to 4 minutes and brown well on the other side. Add about a quarter of the onions and fry as well. Add the broth and boil the duck drumsticks. Let the drumsticks simmer 45 minutes, then turn and cook for another 30 minutes. Add the remaining onions, apples, and marjoram. Cook the drumsticks again 10 minutes then remove and keep warm. Thicken and season the sauce, then add to the drumsticks. Duck drumsticks go well with red cabbage and dumplings.
