Various marinades

Category: Grilling
Difficulty/Costs: reasonable/manageable
Number of people: 12
Ingredients:

Beer Marinade:

  • ½ bottle of beer
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • sliced 1 large onion into rings
  • Bay leaf
  • Juniper berries
  • Peppercorns

Hot marinade:

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 large onions
  • Soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil
  • Paprika
  • Sesame
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Chili powder
  • Tabasco

Spicy Marinade:

  • 2 medium onions
  • 6 hot peppers
  • 2 tablespoons hot mustard
  • TK herbs
  • Pizza seasoning
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Oil

Preparation:

Mix all the respective ingredients together and coat the meat or vegetables with it and let it rest for several hours for the full flavour to come out. The longer the meat is left in the dressing, the more intense the flavour. The oil acts as a "liquid". It is optional to add some oil. Before the grilling, it is important to remove all excess oil; for the simple reason, if the oil drips on the fire it burns. Not just is the smoke very unpleasant; it also irritates the airways. Besides that, the oil can cause a sudden flame. Important: Some spices get a bitter taste when grilled and spoil the taste of the rest. Especially onion rings quickly stick to the meat and burn there.
