Quark baked cakes

Category: Dessert
Difficulty/Costs: easy/low
Number of people: 10
Ingredients:

For the base:

  • 140g butter
  • 140g sugar
  • 300g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 P baking powder

For covering:

  • 1kg low-fat quark
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 200g sugar
  • 2P custard powder
  • 2kl cups oil
  • 750 ml milk
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Preparation:

Mix the ingredients for the shortbread, which is at the bottom of your dessert. Grease a baking sheet, put some flour on it and roll out the dough. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Separate the yolk from the white. Collect the egg white and put it in the fridge. Mix the low-fat quark, the egg yolks, 100g sugar, custard powder, oil, milk and lemon in a high bowl. Caution, it squirts! Put the quark mass on the shortbread and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Once the quark is golden brown, beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff and spread on the quark. Bake another 5 to 10 minutes. Watch it closely. When the meringue is golden brown, take the cake out of the oven. There are just seconds between golden brown and burnt. Let the cake cool. The sugar in the meringue may form small golden tears. Serve warm or cold! Good Appetite! This is another great recipe which is great for young and unskilled chefs to help. Be careful with the hot stove.
