Cinnamon stars

Ingredients:
  • 600g icing sugar
  • 400 g chopped hazelnuts
  • 6 egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 400g ground almonds

Preparation:

Put the egg whites into a bowl and beat until stiff. Then lift in the icing sugar.

Remove 1/3 and put aside. This will be the topping.

To the rest of the egg whites add the cinnamon, almonds and hazelnuts, then knead. Then roll out the dough, make sure the dough is about ½ cm thick. Then cut out the cookies.

On a baking tray put a layer of baking paper and moisten it slightly. Put the stars on it and with a brush, put the egg whites and brush it on the stars.

Preheat the oven to 175 ° C and bake on the middle rack for 15 minutes. Take them out as soon as the stars are golden-brown, and the topping is set.
