Octopus

Octopus

Material:

Yellow and white copy paper, scissors, glue and a black felt tip pen.

Craft instructions:

In order to make this octopus you will need yellow and white copy paper, scissors, glue and a black felt tip pen. First of all you should draw the body of the octopus. This should look something like a large light bulb without the screw part and it is drawn onto yellow paper, taking up approximately half of the sheet. The body is cut out. In order to make the octopus’ tentacles, one centimetre wide strips are drawn onto the A4 sized yellow copy paper and are then cut out. There should be at least ten strips. The ends of two of the strips are the stuck together at right-angles by folding them in half and laying one strip over the other. The other two ends are also stuck together. The same procedure is done for all of the other tentacles. When all of the tentacles have been folded, they are stuck to the bottom part of the body.

The octopus eyes are now drawn onto white copy paper and are cut out. The pupils are drawn into the eyes with a black felt tip pen. The eyes are finally stuck onto the octopus body. Instead of making the eyes yourself, you can also buy some googly eyes from craft stores.
