Finger puppets
Material:
- Card cut offs in skin colour and yellow or light blue
- Card cut offs in green or pink
- Yellow or brown wool
- Thin red thread
- Black and red felt tip pens
- Red coloured pens
- A 30 cm ruler
This is how to make it:
-
Wrap the wool around the long side of the ruler and cut the wool so that a 30cm long piece remains at the end. They are now tied together exactly in the middle with wool.
-
Take four threads together into a bundle. Three of these bundles should now be made on each side. The three threads are used to make a plait to the left and right and the ends are tied off with the red thread. The fringes are cut straight across.
-
Cut the pullover, face and trousers from the pieces of card. The trousers are stuck to the bottom end of the pullover. The face is drawn on free hand and is stuck to the shoulders. Make round holes in the trousers with a sharp pair of scissors for the fingers. The plaits are glued to the middle of the forehead. You can now apply details such as braces or patterns on the clothes.
