This note holder with a hole for a pin is ideal for young kids up to class 4/5. The fretwork is easy to make. Therefore, there are no delicate or small parts and the result is almost always great.

Put your hands on the wooden board and trace your hand.
-
Cut it out and sand it back nicely. This is not shown on the image.
-
Lengthwise saw a slot in a batten as wide as your board is.
-
Drill a hole in the batten for the pen
-
Sand back the batten nicely
-
Glue the cutout hand into the slot
-
Glue a clothespin to the wooden hand to hold a few pieces of paper.
-
Now cut out an arrow and glue it on the clothespin
