Self-made bead jewellery

Material requirements:

  • Colourful beads from the craft store
  • Wooden beads
  • Jewel elements
  • Special rubber bands for threading the beads onto (available in craft stores)
  • Little bowls to store the beads

Instructions

First of all you choose the beads with which you want to make a bracelet or necklace. Fill these into little bowls so that they are always at hand.

You then take the rubber band. For an armband you will need (depending on your size) approx. 10cm. For a necklace you will need approx. 30 cm.

Tie a knot, or even better, two knots at one end of the rubber band. Make sure that the knot is thick enough so that the beads cannot slip over it.

Slip the beads onto the band to your own taste and mood. You can have one colour or a colourful mix – there is no limit to the possibilities. You can place the chain around your neck/arm at regular intervals to see how much more is needed. Once the required length has been reached you can tie a knot. Now the two ends must be tied together and the piece of jewellery is finished.
