Tinsel Angels
To make a tinsel angel we need a roll of gold foil, a sheet of thin metal foil from the craft shop a darning needle, a pin needle with head, a knitting needle, a pencil, the outer casing of a pen or a nail, a small pair of scissors, a sewing needle, thread, multi-purpose adhesive and newspaper for underneath.
Firstly draw the picture to scale; make the wings, head and hands of the tinsel angel out of metal foil. The other parts are to be made out of gold foil. Then using the newspaper as an underlay, decorate the angel. The so called decorative-lines are engraved using the pen, pin needle the darning needle and the knitting needle. The remaining fold lines are drawn in using pencil and the skirt parts are tied tightly at the back, and glued at the neck. The top part of the skirt receives a further two cuts, to which the sleeves are stuck, and then to these sleeves attach the hands using the multi-purpose adhesive. The head is placed on top and secured using adhesive. Decorate the angel as desired.
