Connect 4
Game concept of Connect 4
The game ‘Connect 4’ is a game for 4 people. The players take it in turns to put a marble/bead on the game bar.
Whoever obtains 4 beads in a row wins. This can be either horizontally, vertically, diagonally and in all three dimensions- even backwards, or in the middle. If there are several games taking place, it can be made into a youth club tournament. For each game won, one point is given. Who will have won the most games i.e. collected the most points after 45 minutes?
Connect 4 is quick and easy to make:
This craft idea is ideal for a youth club session. The game can be built in various sizes and ways, which then dictates the measurements (holes, distance of the bars, size of the base plate etc.).
‘Connect 4’ out of a small wooden board (7cm x 7cm x 1cm), and nails as game bars.
‘Connect 4’ out of a round wooden plate (16cm x 1,5cm) and bicycle spokes as game bars.
‘4-Wins’ out of a kitchen work top and round wood (14cm x 14cm x 2,4cm)
