Artwork made from plaster bandages
Particularly for children plaster bandages provide, an ideal material for crafting. When crafting with plaster bandages, they can give their imaginations free rein. However, for the very young plaster bandages are not all that suitable. School age and up would be preferable. Small gifts for family and friends are easily made with plasters bandages. For example, you could make a little picture.
For the following materials are needed:
- A canvas (about 20 x 20 centimetres)
- Plaster bandages, which are cut into small pieces
- Paint and brush
- Glitter colour
- Water
How to create a plaster bandage picture
With the help of water, outline shapes on the canvas so to get a pattern. Put on the plaster bandages according to the lines. Once that's done, the plaster bandages must dry on the canvas. Then the plaster bandages can be painted. What colour is used for this is irrelevant. Water colour is just as well as acrylic paint. Finally, the lines of plaster bandages are coated with glitter paint, so that the pattern clearly emerges.
