Not only dogs can lick, can they??
On one beautiful Saturday evening, my mother told me that I would be at home alone that evening. That evening, we said goodbye to each other and my mother said that if I was scared, I should reach my hand out of the bed and if the dog licked it, I would know that everything would be OK. When my parents left, I went to bed. At midnight I woke up and heard a strange noise – drip, drip, drip. I was scared and stuck my hand out of the bed. The dog licked my hand and I knew that everything was OK so I went back to sleep. Two minutes later I heard the noise again so I reached my hand out of the bed again. When the dog licked my hand, I knew that everything would be OK so I went back to sleep. Two minutes later the same noise was there again “drip, drip, drip”. I had had enough and I went to switch the light on. With the light on, I saw a sign pointing into the cellar.
(Keep the kids in suspense and tell the story slowly)
As I carefully opened the cellar door it was as if lightning had struck me. I could hardly breathe and my heart was beating like mad. I couldn’t believe it. I saw my faithful dog hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room. On the back wall of the cellar there was a sign. The sign was written in blood: “Murderers can lick other people’s hands too.”
