Maybe I am not a good talker, but I surely know what I am talking about!

2. Corinthians 11,6

Have you also had the experience that you have met people who are unusually adept and are so quick-witted when talking? Have you felt jealous of these people because of their cleverness with words and their quickness? They have a suitable answer and reason for everything in all situations. You look quite stupid in comparison. Afterwards you also thought of a few clever arguments or answers, but it was too late.

Have you also had the experience that there are some members of your youth group who can talk and discuss absolutely brilliantly about beliefs and you, with your modest knowledge and your awkward rhetoric, prefer to say nothing.

However this is not important. It does not depend upon how great you can talk, debate or formulate words. Something else is the most important thing: the belief which is behind it. Only those who have realised the importance for themselves and have experienced their belief in Jesus for themselves, can talk about belief. You can only talk about belief once Jesus has become a part of you.

In devotion, in a discussion about belief, it is not important that you have interesting wording or that you use lots of foreign words. That you yourself are behind your words and that you have experienced what you say, is important.

Recognition comes first of all (experiencing and feeling with your own soul ...) and then comes the acknowledgement.

Another tip: listen to God when you are talking. Do not give your personal opinion but pass on God’s message.
