Craft Ideas: Stone Age fur clothing
Making fur clothing
Depending on your level of skill, top modern fur clothes can be produced using furs and fur cut-offs. One or the other model is possibly a little Spartan. The time required to produce some of these fur cloaks lies between 30 minutes and several hours. Necklaces with real bear claws and hatchets, wooden club or bows and arrows made from plywood are some of the accessories required by all real Neanderthals.
Explanation of the pictures (taken on the Easter camp of the YMCA/YWCA Magstadt, Germany):
- Fur clothing with bear claw necklace
- Fur cloak skin with hatchet.
- A head piece should not be missing
- You will need several hours to produce this piece of fur clothing made from lots of rest pieces of sheep’s wool.
- The stone-age tribe
- Simple – but practical
- Simple top fashion, quickly produced and simple to get into to
- An economy version – for the hardened Neanderthal.
